KRISTIAN ALEXANDROV & SHANNON GAYE TRIO

Singer / Songwriter / Percussionist Shannon Gaye, described as “the slender singer with the big soulful voice,” cuts a powerful presence on stage, presenting melodic, groove-driven material steeped in Acoustic Soul and R&B tradition. With a fiery approach to improvisation, gifted Bulgarian Jazz pianist Kristian Alexandrov creates an evocative, visceral experience. The Vancouver-based dynamic duo will be joined by bass virtuoso, Laurence Mollerup, to present an intimate & interactive musical performance. Kristian & Shannon's collaborations on stage and in the studio have resulted in eight original CD’s, performances at festivals and theatres across Canada, the U.S. and Europe, as well as song placements in film and TV. In addition to their own creative works, the two often write and produce with other artists, resulting in a platinum certified single One Day for pop star Tate McRae, as well as three Juno-nominated CD’s for artists Lauren Spencer-Smith, Jens Lindemann and Tommy Banks.
